Amber is the fossilized resin produced by some primitive conifers. This resin was exuded from the tree trapping insects and vegetal material as it flowed. We found this amber in the mountains on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. |

Lapidary: For many years we have developed sources for a variety of fossilized marble slabs for table tops from different quarries in the Moroccan Sahara. The small round table top pictured here is from one of those quarries. We usually stock a large and varied inventory of sizes and shapes and regularly take custom orders for our clients. If you are interested in a particular size, please contact us as we may have it in stock. We currently have beautiful half-round marble bases of coffee table height. |
